Red Caboose

This costume was made somewhat quickly in 2003, between jaw surgery and seeing the sadly short lived US Starlight Express tour in Minneapolis. Even though I was in a bit of a rush, I am happy with how it turned out. I wore this to the first performance in Minneapolis where I met up with a few other costumed fans. As far as we are aware, we were the first costumed fans to go to the show in the US and during intermission we were able to go backstage and meet with the actors playing the characters we dressed up as. (Not even family members are allowed backstage during intermission.) Due to the somewhat rushed nature of the costume, I had some odd material choices, such as a round cardboard box for the hat and artist board for the shoulder boxes and chest piece.
