I am in love with this costume. I bought the dress from a costumer on eBay, roughed it up a bit and added a wig and all the other pieces. I wish I could wear it daily.

My final year at Winona State I wasn't an official Wenonah Player, but I was invited by a friend to go to the banquet with her. The theme was "A Night at the Movies" and we both had a mutual love of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, so our costumes were obvious choices. Even if no one else knew who we were.

Each year the Wenonah Players hold a costumed banquet, a different theme each year. One year the theme was "Favorite SNL/Sketch Character" and someone suggested I go as Mango, so I did. The entire costume only took a few hours to put together so the quality isn't the best, but sometimes that was the best part of these banquets. I am quite proud of how the hat turned out.

For a midterm project for one of my Modern classes, my partner and I needed to figure out a costume, yet nothing we owned worked. After a quick trip to Target to pick up some clearenced jersey knit bed sheets and a curtain valance, this is what I came up with. We ended up getting 102 out of 100 points for making costumes.

For my Dance Composition midterm, we had to do an -Ism. Being the strange people we were, my partner and I decided to do Seussism and make a video of it. I was a generic Seuss-like character and came up with this for a costume.

Originally, this was going to be used in my Dance Composition final but at nearly the last minute I had to change my plans completely and wasn't able to use the dress in my final piece. I love how it turned out though.
