"A jester's chief employment is to kill himself for your enjoyment and a jester unemployed is nobody's fool!"

I graduated from Winona State University on May 4, 2007 with a B.A. in Theatre and Dance.

I have been making theatre (fan) costumes and knitting since about 1997-1998. About that time I also got into Historical costuming and in 2006 I learned chain maille and the basics of hand ventilated wig making. In 2007 I taught myself the basics of tablet weaving. I consider myself a hobby-holic and have a never ending list of new crafts I want to learn.

I also love taking pictures, especially abstract or detail shots. I bought myself my first Digital SLR camera for a graduation present (a Nikon D40) and I absolutely love it. I never could have dreamed getting the shots I have been able to with this camera. I also have a Nikon Coolpix S210 which I carry around with me, just incase I find something to shoot.

My other, other love is musical theatre. I love performing and I miss it greatly, but I love doing costuming as well so I'm happy so long as I get to do something. I designed costumes for 2 WSU children shows (in 2006 and 2007) and had the honor of getting both sets of costumes into the ACTF Region 5 Costume Parade. I was very surprised as I'm not a huge fan of designing! I was also awarded a Certificate of Merit at ACTF in January 2008 for my James costumes. My favorite costumes to make are things you can't go out and buy, such as things from Cirque du Soleil, historical costumes and the more out there musicals like Starlight Express.
