2008 Arch-shaped Socks

These were my second pair of socks I made, and my first everyday socks. They came together much faster then I had thought and I absolutely love them. I'll be making more socks in the future for sure.

Pattern is Arch-shaped Socks (PDF) by Jen Showalter.

2008 Liesl

I made this shrug over a weekend to wear to a few weddings. It unblocked itself while I was wearing it, but hopefully a more forceful blocking will fix that.

Pattern is Liesl by Ysolda. (I do need to get more pictures, for now, this will have to do.)

2008 German Stockings

These stockings were made for my Corly Jester costume. They were the first time I had attempted socks. They took me a while to finish (mostly because I took a long break from the costume) but I love how they turned out. I also made the garters by tablet weaving.

Pattern is German Stocking by Cookie A.

2008 Twist

Twist was started in November and is in many ways my first real sweater. The Simply Knitted Bodice is a sweater, but this one had seams and is much more of an every day sweater. I absolutely love it, especially the seam where the sleeves are attached because I have never sewn sleeves in where I actually cared how they looked. This is definitely my favorite thing I've made. Pattern from Chic Knits.

2008 Crochet Kitten

Just a cute little crochet kitten. Pattern can be found here.

2008 Sweeney Envy

I love Sweeney Todd. I love the original Broadway version, I love the film version, and I love the revival version. I love the music, the characters and everything about it. Now, my little Pirate heart gravitates more towards cutlasses then straight razors, but have you tried carrying around a cutlass undetected? Sweeney had the right idea.

Pattern is Ysolda's Garter Stitch Mitts. Great pattern.

2008 Dream Swatch Head Wrap

A simple head scarf made from yarn left over from my Clapotis. I only made it 18 stitches wide instead of the 24 called for, and I made it only long enough to fit around my head and fasten with a button. Pattern by Wendy Bernard of Knit and Tonic.

2007-2008 Hot Topic Zeros

These guys are for Sam's co-workers. The two normal Zeros are made from this pattern, and the scarves are based off of that pattern, this one, and my own for the scarf bit. I started the first one at the end of November and finished the last one March 1.

2007 Simple Knitted Bodice

It took me a while to finish this sweater, and I don't know why. I stopped working on it when all I had left was a sleeve and the neck edging, and it sat for about a year. I finally finished it and I like how it fits. I did some editing from the pattern, mainly in the sleeves, but I also added some rows between the lace and the neck and did a different neck treatment. The pattern can be found at Stitch Diva.

2006 Pirate Mittens

My first color work, and my second pair of mittens. I love them! Pattern from Hello Yarn. I accidently felted part of the palm shoveling (wool + moisture = Duh!) so I might have to redo them. Darn.. :)

2006 Irish Cables

Made randomly when I was doing laundry with some Red Heart I had laying around. I love how it looks though. This picture was taken a year after I made it.

2005 Schaefer Elaine Bag

Made out of a random skein of yarn I had. I made the pattern up as I went. Works well for a vacation bag, thought it doesn't really get used.

2003 Electra

I made these to go with my Electra costume. Made from various yarn, mostly Red Heat and Aunt Lydia's Rug Yarn. Purl side out, gone over with a slicker brush to slightly fray/snag it to make it look softer and "furrier."
